UBS, the world’s largest wealth management firm with a market cap of $60 billion, turned to ATOM to help modernize its financial service offerings. Headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, UBS needed thorough research on a product it was developing targeted to its primary demographic of affluent ($500,000 to $1 million) and high net worth ($1 million to $5 million) individuals. Because these clients demand the highest level of services and product offerings to make financial decisions, building a secure and trustworthy relationship was imperative.
ATOM developed the Exxchange, an exclusive online forum for Wealth Management Innovation. To appeal to this demographic, visuals, copy, graphics, and branding were created to reflect a high class experience. Hundreds of qualified individuals from around the world joined the Exxchange to participate in the 3 month study. As an incentive, participants received monthly webinars and access to Kiran Ganesh, head of investment advice solutions in the Chief Investment Office at UBS, which oversees the investment strategy for $2 trillion in assets.
STREAM Research allowed ATOM to build an international affluent online community of 120 members with a net liquid asset value of more than $300 million. Results of the study provided UBS with firsthand opinions and insights regarding wealth management and its new product. UBS can now develop new APPs, online web content, business services and marketing strategies with a valid road map to success.
